Shalyn has been practicing Usui Reiki since being introduced to it in 2006.
Being naturally drawn to Reiki and helping others, she continued to practice and became a Master Reiki practitioner in 2017. Outside of Reiki, she is a practicing RN since 2010, and a Reflexologist since 2013.
Her goal is to help clients find peace healing through utilizing Reiki.
Reiki is a Japanese healing modality rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s. This practice aids in the ‘movement of energy’ in the body to create a more balanced state (emotional physical). The mind/body connection has been well established; most often poor emotional health leads to poor physical health decreased immunity. Through a relaxed state, as Reiki so often produces, we are able to process emotions that may have our energy stagnant or blocked.
During a reiki session, I will lightly place my hands on various parts of your body. You may also request to have the reiki session without being touched.
You will be fully clothed, and resting on a massage table for the session. Often, I will utilize an essential oil blend that resonates with you during the session. People who receive Reiki may notice a variety of experiences: relaxation, heat/cool, emotional responses (laugh, cry), or simply falling asleep. When the reiki treatment is complete, we will have time to discuss the session.
Reiki is an excellent complementary tool to improve your physical, spiritual, and emotional wellness. Shalyn is looking forward to welcoming you to this practice.
